So many changes. New city, new studio gear, new job. But I'm learning Logic, and making the kind of music that I want to. All good things. On another note, macs are woefully underpowered. Especially when they cost so much. Maybe it's time to build another Hackintosh.

I'm finally trying out Google Chrome after being a die-hard Firefox user. I have to say, I really like it so far. It IS quick, it seems just as secure as Firefox, and it syncs my settings and bookmarks with ease. Firefox requires a plugin to do the same thing. Another nice thing about Chrome is that it auto-updates when you aren't using your internet connection. One catch when installing Chrome

This guy (http://www.dougknox.com/) has some random but noteworthy fixes for some of Windows XP's annoyances. He also has some utilities that come in handy if you find yourself limited by XP's scope. I found a fix for disappearing CD/DVD drives which worked when nothing else would. Cool beans.

So Windows likes to open Outlook when you hit an email address or link? That's so 2000 and late. I like to use Gmail, but this tip works with a few other web-based email services. In Firefox, go to Tools then Options and select the Applications tab. Scroll down to mailto and click on the associated action (on the right) to bring up a list. Change it to whatever you prefer. Then have a tea party.

Found this tip on lifehacker.com, it's a small but annoying issue fixed. If your keyboard's multimedia buttons don't work unless iTunes is in the foreground, add this plugin to the iTunes plugin folder. For XP Users, go to “C:\Program Files\iTunes\Plug-ins”. Vista and Windows 7 users,  go to “C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins” Windows 7 for the ummm..

I am the first to admit I have a thing for shoes, and lately my concentration is on High-Tops.
